In 2019 we introduced a suite of short courses covering the topics of FIRE, MOISTURE, PLYWOOD, HARDWOOD and WOOD PROTECTION which can be delivered at your own premises or a choice of approved venues in London, the Midlands, Yorkshire or the South West.
Up to four half-day workshops and one full-day workshop (Hardwood) from which you can pick and choose the modules that suit you. The perfect, targeted introduction to wood science topics relevant to your staff.
Woodexperts have worked with companies such as BSW Timber to create fully bespoke courses which we regularly deliver in partnership with our client organisations and their customers. Backed up by a combination of engaging presentations, visits to forests and sawmills, extensive handling of real timber samples, handouts and printed workbooks, these courses have proved immensely popular.

BSW Timber Ltd began working with Woodexperts in 2005.
They worked in partnership with us to develop the content of the course which was delivered either at our mills, our customers’ premises or conference facilities (using Powerpoint and handouts). The course, entitled Introduction to Wood Science, received accreditation from the Institute of Wood Science and has been attended by over 1000 of our customers.
